SOTW - and snippets
Being Wednesday, it’s SOTW time once again. With apologies to those private entries that have been sent in, I’ll take another SOTW shot from Flickr. (The shots from readers are stored on another computer and I forgot to transfer one for today).
This Classic 900, fully loaded, was shot by Sharps in San Francisco. [...]
6 scuff-free inches
If you ever come to Hobart and see a 9-3 Viggen parked a little out from the kurb, that’ll be me wanting to ensure I never have to front-up for repairing my wheels ever again!
I’ve just received a quote from Bocchinos, reputedly the best body repairers in town. To repair and repaint all 4 [...]
Car Peer Pressure
At the suggestion of my Mrs…..
Why did Saab move the key from the centre to the steering column in the mid-90’s?
Why did they move it back?
Why don’t they build a hatch any more?
Car Peer Pressure. It’s a bigger factor than you think…..

9-4x - What’s the point?
Just a quick thought.
The entry below is pushing the line that the planned Saab 9-4x will be a 7-seat Crossover Utility Vehicle. It’s being designed in concert with a Cadillac and a Buick variant of the same basic vehicle. Obviously there will be tweaks to make each one individual in it’s own way.
What’s [...]

There’s one fish that’s been consistently swimming against the tide [...]
Aero Academy
I wish they offered this here in Oz.
Buy a Saab Aero in the US and your name gets registered for attendance at the Saab Aero Academy in Atlanta, Georgia. OK, you have to get yourself there and accommodate yourself, but once you do it’s 2 days of intensive driving tuition - a chance to [...]
GM Bankruptcy Latest
North American readers are probably getting GM-Bankruptcy updates in their news coverage on a daily basis. Euro readers less so. Here in Australia we have more pressing matters at hand, like how the hell did that blond chick win Australian Idol last night???
For those of you that are a little slower on the [...]
An Aussie take on Euro “Combis”
A timely article has surfaced at Carpoint. Given yesterday’s article on the 9-3 SportCombi (don’t call it a wagon!!!), I thought I might post this one as well.
Here in Oz, there’s several distinct classes of motor car. It’s been a learning curve for me in writing this blog to see that the US [...]
