Unfortunately the first-year 9-7X allotment sold out and although there is high demand, there’s no telling if there’ll be enough of the second batch to go around. The factory they’re manufactured in just cut down a shift so that complicates matters.

The model company was busy putting a SAAB front-end on a Chevy TrailBlazer model.

I’m joking.

It looks like the same company that produced the 9-2x, will be producing the 9-7x in 1:43 in black this early spring!

I hear one can also get a *very* similar 1:43 version selling for US$35 but it has a Subaru badge on it

It’s a 9-2x alright, Ken. I just searched them on Ebay and you can get one – for US$40!!!

No word yet on when GM will be selling the 1:1 models for that price, but with various rebates and incentives it may be a distinct chance in a few months time

That little 9X was a die-cast one from a company called “Maisto”. Do a Google search for “Maisto 9X”.

I dunno, if you have to take your scale model cars to your scale model dealer for servicing when you really never take them out for driving, that doesn’t really say a whole lot of good things about Saab reliability…
