I’ve received an interesting email and picture from Ryan in DC, who supplies all the content at Saab Media Online. Ryan’s been busy photoshopping the 9-5 to his tastes and has come up with the following. You can click on it to enlarge.
He points out the following:
Note the following changes
A) Triangulated round Headlight unit along with grill conforming to Center “V” grill
B) Cleaned up Fog Light cut-out
C) Included “SAAB” wings in the center grill.
D) Removing the elongated headlight onto fender (not included in this photo – SW).
Personally, I’m all in favour of C. I actually like the way the factory have done A & B.
I’d be interested to hear the thoughts of others in comments and if you’ve got a photoshop of your own, I’d invite you to post it at Flickr or some other photo-hosting service and include the URL for the image in comments.
The only bit I don’t like is the crome around the headlights. Otherwise I really don’t mind the 9-5.
I can understand why they are doing the crome as they want to give the healight the feel of being a port but I’m sure this can be achieved without the use of crome.
