Howdy all.

Work is going to interrupt me for several days, so I have to be very quick with links rather than writeups.

——————————–

Autoblog and Autochannel prove once again that you’re better off getting your Saab news here as they announce changes to the 9-2x lineup a day later.

——————————–

The Opel Speedster begat the Saturn Sky and both may result in a Saab Sonett in years to come. Rumours circulating yesterday that Saab may get a roadster vehicle based on the Kappa platform. Jay Spenchian did mention a possible roadster experiment in his recent interview with Inside Line.

——————————-

If you can forgive yourself for doing so (I spent the entire evening doing Hail Marys last night), then go to BMW Films and check out the short films made over the last few years to somewhat-less-than-subtly publicise their cars.

Bloody excellent. I can particularly recommend the film named ‘Star’, directed by Guy Ritchie.

——————————-

Finally, if you’re hanging out in Nashville, looking for some fried chicken or maybe even a mountain bike (hey, if I’m not hankerin for one then I’m riding the other), then try out the Loveless Cafe.

——————————-

PER EKLUND is now leading the Swedish Rally Championship in his 9-3 Aero Sport Sedan. Per came second at the most recent event at Strägnäs, which was enought to elevate himt o the lead in the championship.

He’s still running 6th in the European chamionship.

See Mike Jager’s site for details.

——————————

PS – It’s snowing here in Hobart today. First time since 1986!!! Brrrrr.

    Swade:

Thanks for the mention of Loveless Cafe, but, believe me, I’m not closely affiliated. Except as a customer. It’s just the best place around to grab some real home cookin’ for breakfast. Perhaps anywhere in the world.

If you’re in Nashville, you may also want to try ‘hot chicken’, a truly original dish that you’ll only find here.

Snowing? In Oz? Even in Tasmania that has to be a shock! Don’t drive in the stuff unless you have to!!

    Snowing? But it’s August!

(Just kidding. I know it’s all backwards down there.)

BP, nice to hear from you again. I was wondering where you’d got to. And until you guys get your water spinning the right way when you pull your plugs or flush your toilets, don’t go calling us backward!

(You can learn to drive on the right side of the road (i.e. the left) while you’re at it)

Eggs, no trouble with the snow on the roads near my place. None of it settled. I did have a fun time driving through a brief snowfall though. It looked like it was all rushing towards the car, like hitting hyperspace in The Enterprise. Woohoo!!
