TS Map

Saabs are loved in various places around the world.

Put your pin on this interactive map and let other readers here know who you are, where you are and what you’re driving. You can even upload a photo of your Saab that’ll display when your pin is selected.

The basic map is below, but there’s a more complete one with scrolling photos etc here – The Trollhattan Saab Map

  1. My daily driver – I’m not YET a Saab 9-3 SS owner – is a 2000 Nissan Maxima SE – a 5-speed. I felt awkward being a current NON-Saab owner, but I am aspiring to be.

I’ve got my heart set on a MY2008 9-3 XWD SS, a 6-speed, of course!

  2. When I first uploaded my picture and pinned my location, I could see plenty of other users as well. But for some reason, the only pin I can see now is my own. Having the knowledge of my own whereabouts pretty well, I found this map kinda worthless in its current state. But I hope it starts working fine soon!

  3. Edonis, I’m having the same problem from the computer at my office (I do look over the blog there occasionally, on a break, for a maximum of 10 seconds).

As mentioned in the snippets post last night, it’s beta software so there’s still some bugs.

For you Mac vs PC people, I can see it fine on my Mac, but not on the PC.

  4. Hmmmm.

I might have a look and see if Google Maps offers a similar service where people can place pins etc. Probably won’t be as flashy, but I think it’s great to see who’s where and get an appreciation for the breadth of Saab’s appeal.

  5. Is now working at my office. Dang, there’s a lot of us!!

    Cool!

And currently, I’m the southernmost person on there, with Eirik the king of the north in Norway (friend, you must be cold!)

  6. I’m sure there are SAABers in Hawai’i (a lot of military personnel have their SAABs shipped over there) and there’s a SAAB dealer in Anchorage, Alaska according to SAAB USA’s website.

I remember seeing a guy from Mexico post at SAAB Central. We gotta’ get him over here! :-)

Someone’s gotta’ represent Asia. I know there are SAAB owners in Malaysia and Singapore. I’m pretty sure there are SAABs in Japan and Korea too. Maybe the language thing keeps them from frequenting TS.
